September 30 @ 7:15 am
Join the Fish & Wildlife Services and other volunteers as they collect litter and debris along the shoreline of the refuge. Participants will paddle south — four miles from Castle Rock Bay and take out at Mesquite Bay on London Bridge Rd. Volunteers of all ages and experience level are welcome to participate. Every little bit helps in keeping Lake Havasu and the Colorado River clean.
Volunteers can bring their own paddle craft or borrow a canoe or kayak from local outfitters who will be donating equipment for use during the event, free of charge. The Friends group will have a tent with hot dogs and refreshments at Mesquite Bay Central. A free shuttle bus back to Castle Rock will be available for those needing to get back to their vehicles.
